Reports recently broke out that former WWE star Carmella has retired, but how much of it is actually true?
Former WWE star Carmella remains a top attraction in the pro wrestling industry even though it has been three and a half years since the star last performed inside the squared circle. Carmella was the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank winner and a two-time women’s champion before she decided to leave everything behind and go start a family with fellow colleague and RAW commentator Corey Graves. The star has since become a mother twice and left WWE when her contract expired in February 2025.

Is Former WWE Star Carmella Really Retired?
It seems that have been some conflicting reports about the star’s retirement. She recently stated on the Hot Mom Shit podcast that she was retired.
“I’m retired now… I was a professional wrestler. I can’t wrestle anymore. I’m a Mom. I had kids. So that’s kind of like, I’m retired.” [H/T WrestlePurists]
In a tweet just hours after her retirement announcement went viral the star claimed that she could come out of retirement at any time and that she has been retired since she became pregnant with Dmitri.
“I’ve been retired since I got pregnant with Dimitri. Doesn’t mean I can’t come out of retirement though….”
A few hours after that things took another insane turn when Carmella declared that she was not retired and that her foot had healed completely.
Overall, this has created quite the chaos for her fans and WWE fans in general who really thought the star might be done.
“You guys…. My foot is healed. And I’m in the best shape of my life….. definitely not retired.”
At the end of the day it seems that The Princess Of Staten Island is not retired from pro wrestling despite her tenure with WWE coming to an end. As to when she will return to the ring? Only time will tell, but for the time being Carmella is just busy being a mother and taking care of her other projects.
