WWE has finally taken a decision on Crown Jewel and it’s sickening!!
WWE Crown Jewel is set to emanate from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 7 but there have been serious security concerns regarding the event. First of all the US Government has issued one advisory after another for its citizens to leave Saudi Arabia as soon as possible and for them to not travel to the country at all.
But it seems, TKO is adamant of making Crown Jewel and is going through with the event despite internal concerns from staff and performers. Many backstage have expressed major concerns regarding the event but TKO and WWE do not want to ruin their relationship with Turkish Alalshikh and the monarchy of Saudi Arabia.
Instead, they have decided to risk the lives of their employees and are travelling to Riyadh anyway. On the latest edition of WWE, Joe Tessitore specifically mentioned Saudi Arabia during a promotional announcement hyping the PLE. While WWE did promote the event for November 7 previously, they never mentioned the location.
Fightful is reporting that preparations are well and truly underway. Alalshikh is also sharing promotional material for Crown Jewel and amidst all of this WWE remains silent on the well-being of their own superstars.
This Is Sickening!!
To think that this company and TKO have sold themselves out so much that they can’t even bother to care about their own superstars is legitimately concerning. It seems that they never even considered replacing Riyadh as a venue for Crown Jewel and has clearly indicated that the situation has been exaggerated by the media and is not that ‘serious.’
It’s a calamity that a company of this size and stature have bowed their heads and are unwilling to stand up to the pressures of the Saudi regime. Not just that, they are unwilling to risk the multi-million dollar WrestleMania 43 deal and are willing to risk it all for the money.
It’s actually shameful how little this company actually bothers about anybody apart from their chequebooks and hopefully the superstars themselves will have the courage to stand up to both WWE and TKO.
