Bayley just did the AEW fans dirty with her WWE re-signing and she always had one clear motive in mind.

The Bayley saga has dragged on for long and at this point it has gotten stale. Mercedes Mone and her best friend Bayley have been teased the latter joining AEW for quite some time now. The star had only a few months left on her WWE contract and wanted to make the most of the opportunity to negotiate a new deal while also wanting to join AEW, or at least expressing her desire to.

For weeks the star teased on Instagram with songs and subtle messages and Mone joined in on the fun as well, even posting pictures of a photoshopped poster of her and Bayley in a All In match. Things another turn recently when Mone referenced a 2019 tweet from Bayley about “what she wanted wasn’t even there.”

Now, WrestleVotes and several other outlets are reporting that Bayley has re-signed with WWE and she could be back on the road in the next few weeks. This is a huge update on the star but one that will also leave a lot of AEW fans heartbroken.

Bayley Did The Fans Dirty With WWE Re-Signing

After a huge tease even on the latest edition on AEW Dynamite, it’s safe to say fans have not taken lightly to Bayley re-signing with WWE. The teases were carefully crafted to attract attention to her contract situation and there was always the possibility that she would be staying in Stamford.

False Finish is also reporting that the star is expected to have a backstage role and not just be an in-ring talent. It goes to show that the wheels have been in motion for a long time and that The Role Model was only using the hype from the teases and the fan speculation to get herself a new deal.

For AEW fans who were expecting to see the Grand Slam Champion in Jacksonville, they have every right to be mad at this. For WWE fans, it gives them another opportunity to flex on their rivals, in turn leading to more heated verbal exchanges and social media banter. Bayley has done nothing but fan the growing tribalism and hatred and it’s safe to say her Mercedes Mone played a key role in this as well.

The Role Model is a well respected veteran in the industry and has always had a great relation with the fans. This was unexpected from her, and the cryptic messages and teases only leads to speculation that she used both sets of fans and companies to get herself a sweeter deal.

At the end of the day Bayley had only one motive, and that was to get a better contract with more perks and she couldn’t less about either the fans or the promotions that got involved in this.
