The WWE And Bayley Saga Is Officially Crazy

The WWE and Bayley situation is seriously getting out of hand.

The trajectory of Bayley’s WWE career has seen several ups and downs. On the one hand she has the distinction of being the first-ever women’s Grand Slam Champion while on the other hand, she has rarely been booked well on TV shows and PLEs with most of her feuds falling flat and no doing very well despite enormous fan support and love.

Take her latest feud with Lyra Valkyria for example. For months, they teased a split personality for Bayley only for the star to retain her character and then had a very on and off tag team with Valkyria and just as they started to get along, Valkyria betrayed her to make it seem like it was Bayley who was the weak link all along.

Both stars had a great match at Saturday Night’s Main Event but then The Role Model was taken out by Valkyria. Since then there has been no trace of Bayley and things have started to get really interesting.

Is Bayley Done With WWE?

For weeks Bayley and Mercedes Mone teased facing each other and had fun with each other on social media. Mone even posted an edited graphic about facing her real-life best friend at All In later this month.

This stirred quite the controversy online but things really got out of hand when reports started to circulate that Bayley could actually not renew her WWE contract and look to go elsewhere. The star may actually be eyeing a move to AEW to reunite with her friend Mercedes Mone.

More importantly, her getting pulled from TV was further proof that Triple H did not want to put her in a storyline until she re-signed. Several reports from both Fightful and The Wrestling Observer stated that Bayley had a decision to make and whatever the scenario may be with her, unless there was confirmation about her future, the star was unlikely to be seen on TV.

The Role Model stirred the pot herself by uploading a video of herself training at different dojos with the song ‘All In’ playing in the background and the caption reading “All or nothing, baby.”

According to WrestleVotes this rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and what’s worse? She has kept the video up on her timeline till date.

What Exactly Is Up With Bayley?

According to Bryan Alvarez, Bayley’s contract is not up till at least January 2027 and that is if not injury time is added to it. So in reality, The Role Model cannot be at All In or any other AEW PPV for the rest of the year.

Also, with the video she has posted, it’s clear that she is either unhappy in WWE, or was just bantering with the fans due to the discourse online.

Bayley’s WWE status is clearly up in the air and there is not doubt about that. As a matter of fact, it is highly likely that TKO views her in that bracket of stars whose glory days are behind them, the same category as Sheamus and The New Day.

In that regard, it is likely that The Role Model would either have to take a pay cut or simply see through her current contract and be done with the promotion.

Things are bound to get more interesting in the coming weeks and fans will have to wait and see whether the former Damage CTRL leader joins Mone in AEW.
