WWE needs a serious creative overhaul and recent signs could indicate that TKO is losing faith in Triple H.
As per the latest reports, it seems that Bruce Prichard will be done in his current role after WrestleMania 43. The legendary figure is set to undergo a serious surgery which will render him unable to travel and take on the company’s gruelling schedule. That being said, he will still occupy a somewhat subdued role that will mostly allow him to work from his home.
TKO is capitalising on this to bring in Shawn Michaels from NXT and making him the new Executive Director, basically the second in command to Triple H. This is also reportedly going to pave the way for AJ Styles to have a more hands on role in NXT, perhaps taking over from Michaels as the head booker of NXT.
Bobby Roode and Ed Koskey are also apprently in the running to take over from Prichard with Michaels not having enough experience in the administrative side of things, while also being too valuable to the NXT to lose right now.
All in the all, there are some huge shifts coming to WWE in the near future.
With such major overhaul coming in the creative team in the next few months, it begs the question of how safe Triple H’s job is right now.
WWE CROWN JEWEL IS AN UNMITIGATED MESS!!!
Has TKO Lost Faith In Triple H?
Let’s get one thing straight. Triple H isn’t going anywhere. The dude literally signed a new contract not even six months ago, and is clearly in control of the creative direction of the company. That being said, this overhaul isn’t giving much hope either.
Shawn Michaels being brought in is a sign that TKO may not have as much faith in WWE’s Cerebral Assassin as they used to say a year ago. Over the last few months, there has been a lot of rumblings of The Undertaker taking over from The Game as the head of creative and while those many only be speculation, one can’t help but think that the current product will bring a wrinkle or two on the foreheads of the TKO brass.
WWE has been abysmal of late. SmackDown is absolutely unwatchable, RAW is a disaster in a lot of ways, and despite an absolutely stacked roster, there is barely anything being done with a lot of the talents. The tag team division is a mess, and superstars like Gunther have been buried six feet under.
So it’s safe to say that confidence in The Game and his creative team may not be at its peak at the moment. More importantly, there has been a lot of frustration among fans about the direction of the company and it has negatively impacted ticket sales in a lot of way, especially with the big shows not getting as much attendance as before.
The popularity of the product has gone down drastically and it shows in the way some of the things have been run, especially with the never-ending Bloodline storyline and the repeated angles from two years ago.
TKO may not be replacing Triple H overnight, but there are hints that contingency plans have been put in place for The Game to be shown the door if push comes to shove. The team around Hunter has been strengthened massively and now it will be time for him to prove his worth.
