Is Johnny Gargano Done With WWE? Here’s The Truth

Johnny Gargano’s WWE stint may not be going the way he wants, but has the star really called it a day and left the promotion?

Johnny Gargano is a well respected veteran in the pro wrestling industry and had garnered quite the love and admiration for himself from fans and peers. He returned to WWE in 2022 and many expected him to get a good push under Triple H. That did not happen and Gargano was mainly left languishing in the lower midcard along with Tommaso Ciampa. After Ciampa left, Gargano has been left in a planking position unable to function and quite depressed for the past six months. Yes, that story has been ongoing for six months now. But now, there has been a sudden eruption in his departure rumors.

No, Johnny Gargano Is Not Leaving WWE

A recent post on X/Twitter circulated stating that Gargano had suddenly removed WWE from his bio and that the star was done with the company after removing every mention of the promotion from his social media handle.

However, those rumors were quickly debunked with many outlets, including Fightful and False Finish stating that Gargano never had WWE in his bio since returning in 2022, and that the star was not done just yet. More importantly, Gargano himself has not pointed out anything about leaving the company with his gimmick still being played on TV despite his absence over the past couple of weeks.

That being said, Gargano’s WWE career isn’t looking the brightest right now. The star has barely wrestled in a the last six months, and even before that he was nothing more than a jobber. Many speculated when Ciampa went to AEW, that Gargano would follow suit, but that did not happen and Gargano has been left deserted and ignored somewhere on a production truck backstage by Triple H.

Will his time to shine come? Probably, but fans shouldn’t get their hopes up. If anything, this rumor may be the precursor to him actually leaving once his contract expires, like a certain Ilja Dragunov.
