WWE RAW recently showcased perhaps Triple H’s biggest win over Tony Khan yet, and fans may not have realised it.
Truth be told WWE and Triple H don’t get a lot of wins over AEW nowadays. TK has consistently beaten World Wrestling Entertainment at their own game. All In was a slam dunk hit whereas the AAA show and NXT Heatwave failed to garner fan attention. Their storylines feel replenished and fresh. Yes there are a lot of things wrong with All Elite Wrestling as well but that’s for another piece.
For the time being, TK has had some great wins, especially with the erstwhile New Day, now New Level debuting at All In and rubbing salt into Triple H’s wounds. With Ilja Dragunov and Sheamus also seemingly on their way to Jacksonville, this leaves The Game with a lot of worries.
But then, TK had one of the biggest chances but Triple H has now snatched it from under his nose.
Bayley’s Return On WWE RAW Gave Triple H A Major Win Over Tony Khan
With all the teases and hints over the last few months between Mercedes Mone and Bayley, many thought The Role Model was on her way to AEW to join her best friend. But this turned out to be a complete ruse.
Whether you believe Bayley used the fans and AEW to get a better deal out of WWE, the truth is that one of the biggest female stars of her generation has decided to stay with World Wrestling Entertainment and perhaps is even getting backstage roles, setting her up for life.
It’s no secret that TK would have loved Bayley in his company. She is a huge name, a mega draw, and someone who can lead the locker room into the next phase of Khan’s AEW project. She would have been the perfect mentor, the perfect role model (pun intended) and of course, Bayley would have also gotten the chance to work her best friend in Mercedes and a plethora of other dream matches.
That being said, Triple H must be sleeping well knowing that one of Khan’s biggest targets has been snatched up and even he doesn’t rate Bayley that highly (I don’t think he rates her that much), at least he got the win over Khan and can boast about it.
In his mind, Triple H has sent out a warning shot regarding coming after WWE talent. But, with that being said, PWInsider is reporting that Bayley has not yet re-signed with the company since there’s still a lot of time left of her contract, which means that The Game’s ultimate victory may not be that glorious after all.
