WWE has just pulled off their biggest gamble and Triple H may have gotten himself in a bit of a fix.
For the first time in 19 years, since that night in Paris where Mickie James won and then immediately lost the Women’s title, September 12, 2026, has marked the first time the women’s title has changed hands at house show. Stephanie Vaquer defeated Liv Morgan to win the Women’s World Title in her home country of Chile.
But it’s a gamble that may not pay off as intended.
WWE Failed Liv Morgan, And Nothing Will Change If The Title Is Not Booked Well
WWE’s booking of Liv Morgan has barely changed over the past few months. As a matter of fact he has notably not defended the title at all in a title reign that lasted 147 days. On the main roster, Morgan defended the title only twice and that too in matches that weren’t very good.
Morgan has arguably been the best women’s star in WWE for quite some time now, but that hasn’t changed her booking one bit.
Despite being a clear draw and a proper star, Morgan lost the title at a house show in a gamble that garnered a huge pop no doubt, but what else??
It was a great moment for Stephanie Vaquer and it establishes her as a legitimate top star in the company, a highly popular babyface with a clear push behind her.
That being said, if she also goes on to defend the title only twice in 150 days all of this is null and void. This does Vaquer no good, and WWE will be left with having changed a world title for only a cheap pop.
This will be a great litmus test for Triple H and his booking team to show the world that there’s more to this title change than just cheap pops and social media virality.
