The Rhea Ripley scenario is totally heartbreaking and a reminder that WWE fans should be very careful about their activities online!!
Rhea Ripley has been out of action for a while now with the star having to undergo knee surgery after injuring it a few months back. Since then she has been stripped off the WWE title as Chelsea Green has been crowned the new Women’s Champion on SmackDown. Despite her absence Ripley remains one of WWE’s most notable superstars with her popularity sky high.
However, it also means that scams in the name of Mami are abound and one fan has dropped right into it.
Rhea Ripley Fan Scammed Out Of USD 40,000
A Rhea Ripley fan seems to have had a very bad experience with the star after he was duped off 40,000 USD. The star is by all means very popular and it seems a scammer has taken advantage of that to squeeze out some money.
A 64-year-old man was victim to this after falling for a fake Ripley account and eventually ended up paying USD 42,700. The man is from Butler County but has refused to cooperate with investigations into the matter.
It’s obvious that elderly men in this scenario find Ripley attractive and would go to any lengths to meet the star. It seems that this has led to another case of someone going the extra mile for a WWE superstar only for it to backfire.
Of course this is not the first time this has happened as it has previously taken place with Alexa Bliss who has repeatedly and explicitly told fans to not fall for such scams.
