WWE Crown Jewel Is A Mess!!

It seems that WWE has a huge problem with Crown Jewel.

Crown Jewel has been a major part of WWE’s calendar for some time now after the deal with Saudi Arabia. The sovereign nation has made it a point to have the show on their schedule as part of the bi-annual rituals.

Over the last few years Crown Jewel has also taken place in Australia, with the highlight being the Crown Jewel Title for both men and women. If you don’t remember those titles – your life is good, if you do remember – I’m sorry.

This year it seems the PLE is in grave danger.

US Against WWE Travelling To Saudi Arabia For Crown Jewel

It seems that this year the PLE will not be happening in Saudi Arabia at all after the US Government has advised its citizens to not travel to the country.

Right now, as WrestleVotes reports, the country is at Level 3 for travel according to the Department of State. It means that it may not be safe to travel to SA at all.

The issue is grave enough that there have been internal discussions about it within WWE with many considering alternate options.

The PLE is set to commence as per the schedule with November 7 unlikely to change as the date. The location, however, remains a matter of concern and the company may have to take a decision on that.

Saudi Arabia would love nothing more than to quash all the fears of travelling among the foreign visitors and welcome WWE with open arms.

But with the war ongoing in the Middle East and tensions rising there have to be some discussions on whether WWE should continue the partnership. Of course, WrestleMania 43 is coming up and the company is gearing up for a huge payday.

The promotion themselves have been well aware of this escalating situation, yet chode to continue with the plans because they are too afraid to tell KSA no. They have actively now put themselves and their performers in danger over something that they had months to change or simply cancel.

But all of this eventually comes at the cost of the performers who should not have to suffer a grueling flight to Saudi Arabia especially if things aren’t looking too good.
